The 2023 high school football season in Nevada kicks off later this month and MaxPreps has your look at the state's top teams. Defending Class 5A state champion
Bishop Gorman (Las Vegas) owns the No. 1 spot in the Preseason MaxPreps Top 25.
Bishop Gorman won its 19th state title in 2022, beating teams from Arizona, Georgia, Hawaii and Utah on the way to a 14-1 record and No. 4 final national ranking.
Back to lead the charge for the Gaels will be senior quarterback Micah Alejado, who threw for 3,575 yards and 54 touchdowns en route to MaxPreps National Junior of the Year honors.

Truckee (Calif.) in Class 3A,

Pahranagat Valley (Alamo) in Class 1A.
