Big time matchups on the weekend's high school football slate in Texas produced plenty of movers and shakers in this week's rankings. Highland Park made the biggest statement by climbing 23 spots to No. 15 after a 46-18 win over Rockwall, which knocked off then-nationally ranked Southlake Carroll in its previous outing.
Arlington Martin moved into the top 10 following a 52-21 win over Arlington. The Warriors have won three in a row since a season-opening setback against No. 2 Denton Ryan.
Coronado (Lubbock) was another double-digit climber. The Mustangs are 4-0 thanks to a 51-13 win over Rider (Wichita Falls) on Friday. Mississippi State commit Sawyer Robertson has thrown for nearly 1,400 yards and 15 touchdowns so far this season.
Perennial power DeSoto checks in at No. 3 this week after a dominant showing against Trinity Christian of Cedar Hill. The Eagles scored 41 unanswered points after falling behind 10-0 en route to a 62-29 victory.
