The
Red River (Grand Forks, N.D.) girls tennis team finally lost a match for the first time in 15 years last Thursday as
Sheyenne (West Fargo, N.D.) topped Red River 3-2 to capture the East Region team tournament.
The Roughriders' 203-match win streak was the fifth most in American high school girls tennis history according to the National Federation Of State High School Associations Record Book.
See the NFHS Record Book"There are a lot of programs in this country that would love to be 203-1 over the last 204," Red River coach Greg LaDoucer told Brad Elliott Schlossman of the Grand Forks Herald. "I'm proud of that."
