One week after making a splash by signing with EA Sports, top-rated junior quarterback
Elijah Haven of
Dunham (Baton Rouge, La.) is again making waves after announcing he has narrowed his potential college destination down to SEC powers Alabama and Georgia.
Haven, regarded as the nation's No. 1 Class of 2027 signal caller by 247Sports among others, will announce his decision Saturday, April 25.
Last season, Haven threw for 3,931 yards and a state-record 62 touchdown passes as Dunham won its first championship in 21 years. He added 794 yards and 11 scores on the ground, earning MaxPreps All-American and MaxPreps Louisiana Player of the Year honors.

In Louisiana's Division III Select state championship game last fall, Elijah Haven completed 22 of 30 passes for 280 yards and three touchdowns to go with 28 carries for 133 yards and two more scores. (FILE PHOTO: Ken Steib)
The 6-foot-5, 215-pound Haven was the MaxPreps National Sophomore of the Year in 2024 after leading the Tigers to a 14-1 record and state championship game appearance.
Haven is a three-year starter with a 35-5 record and 9,274 passing yards and 134 touchdowns. He has added 44 scores with 2,375 yards on the ground. A basketball standout as well, he has averaged a double-double in his prep career with three state semifinals appearances.
Earlier this month, Haven became the first high school player to join the Gen/EA Sports team alongside soccer players Alyssa Thompson and Endrick, motorsport driver Bianca Bustamante and NFL star Travis Hunter.
Alabama has a host of quarterbacks in the stable, including five-star Keelon Russell of
Duncanville (Texas), Austin Mack of
Folsom (Calif.) and Jett Thomalla of
Millard South (Omaha, Neb.). The Crimson Tide already has a commitment from 2027 QB
Trent Seaborn of
Thompson (Alabaster, Ala.).
Georgia's quarterback roster includes Gunner Stockton of
Rabun County (Tiger, Ga.), Ryan Puglisi of
Avon Old Farms (Avon, Conn.) and Colter Ginn of
Perry (Ga.).
