Each year since 2006, MaxPreps has recognized the nation's top high school football players at the conclusion of the season. Caleb Downs (2022), Puka Nacua (2018), Bijan Robinson (2019), Jeremiah Smith (2023) and Malachi Toney (2024) are among the sport's stars to be named to the MaxPreps All-America Team over the last decade.
Georges led Baylor to its first undefeated season in 52 years, finished ranked No. 16 in the final MaxPreps Top 25. The five-star junior running back rushed for 1,756 yards and 27 touchdowns in helping the Red Raiders capture the Division II Class AAA state championship.
The Class of 2027 star joins Riley Dodge (2006), Kyler Murray (2013) and J.T. Daniels (2017) as the only non-seniors to be named MaxPreps National Player of the Year and is the first Canadian-born player to do so.
Lyons finished his high school career with over 10,000 yards passing and 120 touchdowns to go with nearly 2,000 yards rushing and 53 more scores.
O'Brien was one of the best two-way players in the country, leading La Salle College to its first state title since 2009. He had 86 catches for 1,249 yards and 18 touchdowns to go with 50-plus tackles and four interceptions on defense.
