Archbishop Moeller (Cincinnati) at
St. Edward (Lakewood, Ohio)A pair of teams that were ranked in the
MaxPreps Xcellent 25 at the beginning of the month now need a win to get back on track before the playoffs begin. Moeller was 15th in the writers' poll and had risen to No. 3 in the Freeman Computer Rankings before
falling last week to three-loss Cathedral (Indianapolis), 26-24. The Crusaders may have been caught peeking ahead to this game against St. Edward or even next week's trip to national-title contender Trinity (Louisville, Ky.). Moeller has won three of the last four games against St. Edward.
St. Edward had its 21-game unbeaten streak snapped Oct. 8 against top-ranked Don Bosco Prep (Ramsey, N.J.), then
lost again last week to St. Xavier (Cincinnati), 17-10. The Eagles need to get into the win column this week or next against archrival St. Ignatius (Cleveland) to ensure they'll be around in November to defend their Division I state title.

The Archbishop Moeller offensive line will face a hard test against a St. Edward team that is tough in the trenches.
