Archbishop Hoban (Akron) each jumped two places in this week's Ohio Top 25 high school football rankings. The Bombers (2-1) climbed to No. 2 after a 38-24 win over Elder, which dropped to 1-2 overall and fell two spots to No. 9. The 3-0 Knights are now slotted No. 3 after their 31-24 win Friday over Benedictine.
La Salle (Cincinnati) (2-1) beat Lakota East 35-14 but still fell three spots to No. 5. The Lancers travel to to DuPont Manual on Friday.
St. Edward (Lakewood) jumped five spots to No. 4 after scoring 15 unanswered fourth-quarter points in a 28-24 win over Mentor on Friday. The Cardinals fell to No. 7.
New to the Top 25 this week are No. 22
Olentangy Liberty (Powell) (2-1), which climbed five spots this week, and No. 24
Badin (Hamilton) (3-0). The Rams climbed 12 slots after their 40-14 win over Chaminade-Julienne.
