What to watch: No. 20 Moeller can secure its 12th-consecutive win and improve to 2-0 in Greater Catholic League South play with a win over La Salle Friday night. Moeller, the two-time defending Division I state champ, has surrendered only 20 points through five games. Notre Dame-bound senior tackle
Elijah Taylor had six tackles and a sack in a 13-7 win over GCL rival St. Xavier (Cincinnati) last week. On the other side, La Salle is also off to a 5-0 start but has yet to play a conference game. The last time La Salle beat Moeller was 2010. To have a shot of doing it again, running back
Jeremy Larkin might need to have another big night. The 5-foot-10, 180-pound junior ran for 192 yards and four touchdowns in only 16 carries in a 48-6 rout of Northwest (Cincinnati) last week. He has a GCL South-best 848 yards and 13 touchdowns this season.
Follow live scoring of this game on QwixcoreJust the facts: La Salle's 2010 win over Moeller was only its second in the last 10 games of the series. The Lancers went on to win a share of the GCL South crown that season for only the second time ever. … A win over La Salle and then next week against No. 22 Elder (Cincinnati) would clinch a 25th undisputed league championship for Moeller.
