We've seen some wild high school football scores this season, including a couple of teams topping the 100-point mark and a 77-76 shootout out in California earlier this month. But none of those were quite as shocking as perennial Virginia powerhouse

Western Branch (Chesapeake) 2-0 –
the lowest possible score in a football game outside of 0-0 – on Friday night.
This wasn't a forfeit, nor were there weather issues. Oscar Smith is undefeated this season (8-0) and entered the night averaging 45.8 points per game. The Tigers have won four state titles in the 2000s and are currently No. 4 in the state by the MaxPreps computer rankings.
Western Branch (8-2) is No. 17 in the same set of rankings and has been held under 30 just once all season. All signs pointed toward the scoreboard getting some serious work in this one.
