Each year since 2006, MaxPreps has recognized outstanding performers in high school girls basketball. The tradition continues to close out the 2025-26 season by naming the top player in each state. Selections are based on team success and individual excellence in addition to local and state accolades.
Brihanna Crittendon of
Riverdale Ridge (Thornton) is the 2025-26 MaxPreps Colorado High School Girls Basketball Player of the Year. The 6-foot-3 senior wing led the Ravens to a 22-4 record and the Class 6A quarterfinals.
For the season, Crittendon averaged 28.5 points, 6.7 rebounds, 3.2 steals and 2.4 assists per game.

In a 66-59 playoff loss to Northfield (Denver) that ended her career, Crittendon was heroic with 41 points and 10 rebounds. That was one of nine 40-point games she recorded during her run at Riverdale Ridge.
Regarded as one of the top 10 senior prospects in the country, Crittendon signed with Texas in November.
