If there was any doubt how valuable Alec Fisher was this year for the Bishop's School Knights, it was erased during the CIF Division IV Bowl Game against Brookside Christian.
Besides rushing for 167 yards on 23 carries and four touchdowns, Fisher also caught three passes for 33 yards and a score and led the defense with 11 tackles, including a sack and two tackles for loss.
Fisher's efforts allowed Bishop's to finish the season undefeated at 14-0 while claiming the school's first state championship with a 40-14 win over Brookside Christian.
The offensive MVP of the Coastal League, Fisher also earns MaxPreps Division IV State Player of the Year honors as well.

Bishop's School coach Joel Allen, meanwhile, guided the Knights to an unblemished record through arguably the toughest small school league in the state. The Coastal League annually features some of the top small school teams in the state in Santa Fe Christian (Solana Beach), Horizon (San Diego), Parker (San Diego) and Christian (El Cajon). Every team in the Coastal League won at least six games this year.
Yet the Knights barely had a close game in league play. Besides whipping Horizon 56-21, the Knights also outscored Christian 56-44, Parker 28-14 and Santa Fe Christian 31-10. The Knights also defeated Southern Section Northeast Division champion Bishop 21-10.
As a result, Allen earns the MaxPreps Division IV State Coach of the Year honor.
