A trio of Illinois speedsters tops the national flag football rushing leaderboard, according to statistics submitted to MaxPreps.
Junior
Alexzandria Richardson of
St. Charles North (St. Charles, Ill.) is at No. 1 as of Sept. 23 with 1,702 yards and 25 touchdowns on the ground. She is averaging 17 yards per carry and more than 130 per game.
Richardson has rushed for more than 200 yards in a game on three occasions this season and has also compiled 621 receiving yards for a total of 35 touchdowns.
Acosia Morris of
Richwoods (Peoria, Ill.) has 1,576 yards at a whopping pace of 197 per game. A striker with 27 career goals for the soccer team, Morris has run for at least 250 yards in five straight games coming into this week, including two efforts of 300 or better.
Morris has 2,785 career rushing yards with 24 TDs, 16 of which have come this season for the junior.
Arianna Dugo of
Conant (Hoffman Estates, Ill.) came into this week with 1,346 yards in 10 games with 12 touchdowns. The junior plays a dual role for the Cougars as a running quarterback.
She started the 2025 season averaging just 32.3 rushing yards per game but has pushed it to 178.4 since the beginning of September. She had a monster game on Sept. 17 against
Wheeling (Ill.) with 15 carries for 333 yards and three scores on the ground while throwing for 142 yards and two TDs.
