
Long Beach Poly hopes to repeat as CIF State champions after winning the Division I crown last season, its fifth in history.

After winning five of six games last season, the Southern California girls again figure to close the deficit in career matchups against the north at the CIF State Championships this weekend at Sleep Train Arena in Sacramento.
The north holds a 77-69 edge since the championships began in 1981. Last season was the first year the Open Division was added to the five-division format and Bishop O'Dowd prevailed over Windward in a showdown of Top 5 national teams.
