Video: Texas Top 25 football rankingsLake Travis climbs after its Battle of the Lakes win.The big Week 8 mover in the MaxPreps Texas Top 25 football ranking was Lake Travis (Austin). The Cavaliers of coach Hank Carter rallied in the fourth quarter behind quarterback Hudson Card to defeat rival Westlake (Austin) 26-25 in the annual Battle of the Lakes.
Card's touchdown pass to Grayson Sandlin with five minutes remaining provided the fourth and final lead change of the second half.
Lake Travis (6-1) climbed from No. 25 last week to No. 19 with its sixth consecutive win since opening the season with a 35-14 loss at home to Martin (Arlington).
Westlake (5-1), which missed a chance at a winning 44-yard field goal late, fell 11 spots to No. 20.
