High school football rankings: IMG Academy headlines Florida Preseason MaxPreps Top 25

The 2023 high school football season in Florida kicks off later this month and MaxPreps has your look at the state's top teams. IMG Academy (Bradenton) owns the No. 1 spot in the Preseason MaxPreps Top 25.

IMG Academy doesn't play for a state title but has its second national title in four years in mind. The Ascenders are led by top 10 national prospects Ellis Robinson IV (Georgia commit) at cornerback and David Stone (34 FBS offers) on the defensive line.

The Sunshine State is absolutely loaded this season with six teams in the national MaxPreps Top 25 and 13 in the expanded top 100.

Defending state champions include Chaminade-Madonna (Hollywood) in 1M, Hawthorne in 1R, First Baptist Academy (Naples) in 1S, Central (Miami) in 2M, Cocoa in 2S, St. Thomas Aquinas (Fort Lauderdale) in 3M, Lake Wales in 3S, Columbus (Miami) in 4M and Lakeland in 4S.
