Dallas Morning News, Ohio State commit Smith-Njigba is 59 yards from breaking the mark at 5,366 career receiving yards. The Oklahoma-bound Mims is at 5,358 — 67 yards away.

Thirty minutes later, Smith-Njigba and his Rockwall mates (12-2) take on the nation's No. 3 team Duncanville (14-0) in a State 6A-1 semifinal at McKinney ISD Stadium.
Last week, Mims broke the
national single-season receiving yards with 2,502. He has a chance to put some distance on that mark.
With the 35 touchdown catches this season, Smith-Njigba has a chance to break the state record of 39. He's had five games with at least four touchdown catches this season, including last week when he hauled in a quartet of TDs among his 11 catches for 218 yards in a 59-42 win over Prosper.
