FOOTBALL: LOGAN TURNS DOWN COLLEGE JOBMullen (Denver) football coach Dave Logan has turned down an offer to become head coach at the University of Northern Colorado, according to the Denver Post. Logan, who has won six state titles, also is the longtime radio voice of the Denver Broncos and has a daily radio show.
* Former LaGrange (Ga.) coach Steve Pardue has joined six of his former players at the University of Kentucky. He will coach running backs and become a force in recruiting southern Georgia for the Wildcats. Pardue, who won three state titles in 17 years at LaGrange, is a Kentucky native.
* The University of Washington has received a commitment from outstanding Auburn (Wash.) lineman
Danny Shelton, according to the Seattle Times. The 6-3, 286-pounder chose the Huskies over Oregon.
