No. 25 Lee County overcomes 11-point deficit with two minutes left to win 43-32

Orange Lutheran (Orange, Calif.) took down No. 12 Basha (Chandler, Ariz.) 23-17 on Friday night. The Lancers returned an interception for a touchdown to take their first lead of the game courtesy of King Rich Johnson.

Orange Lutheran led 23-10 in the fourth before Noah Roberts caught a touchdown pass from Jake Rogers, cutting the deficit to 23-17 in the final moments of the game. But Basha got a stop and the ball back. Orange Lutheran defensive back Chauncey Washington II picked off the final throw from the Bears to seal the win.

Ryan Christianson ran for a touchdown and got difficult yards to help extinguish the clock late in the game for the Lancers. Quarterback Ezrah Brown found Raiden Velasquez for the final Orange Lutheran touchdown.

No. 25 Lee County (Leesburg, Ga.) trailed 32-21 with 2:04 left in the fourth quarter before scoring three touchdowns in the next minute to beat Sequoyah (Canton, Ga.) 43-32. 

The Trojans took the lead when senior Jaden Upshaw returned a punt 50 yards for the go-ahead score. Lee County is 3-0 were several impressive wins, including a 23-20 victory over then No. 11 Carol City (Miami, Fla.) last week. 

No. 11 Baylor (Chattanooga, Tenn.) and five-star David Gabriel Georges defeated Rabun Gap-Nacoochee (Rabun Gap, Ga.) 51-33 on Friday night. The five-star Tennessee commit ran for three touchdowns in the win.

Ole Miss quarterback commit Keegan Croucher was throwing dimes all night for the Red Raiders with three touchdowns to a trio of different receivers.

No. 1 St. Thomas Aquinas (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) won a narrow battle against No. 6 Columbus (Miami, Fla.) 31-24. Senior running back Tyler Reid ran wild with over 300 rushing yards and three touchdowns. Kai Moore threw two touchdowns for Columbus, one of which went to five-star Amir Sears. 

No. 5 Buford (Ga.) won 41-7 over Mallard Creek (Charlotte, N.C.). The Wolves were led by four touchdowns for their defense as Ryan Tharpe, Ethan Hauser, Jewlyan Dillard and Jameer Cantrell turned turnovers into scores.

C.J. Cypher and No. 14 Carrollton (Ga.) won 61-27 over Catholic (Baton Rouge, La.). Cypher threw five touchdowns while running backs Nick Archer and Zachary Watts racked up over 300 yards on the ground.

In North Carolina, No. 18 Hough (Cornelius) defeated Providence Day (Charlotte) 30-3. Davion Jones had two interceptions and two sacks while quarterback Ethan Royal threw for a touchdown and ran for another.squad that has reeled off 15 straight wins. 

The MaxPreps Game of the Week saw Jett Harrison and St. Joseph's Prep (Philadelphia, Pa.) upset No. 22 Brentwood Academy (Brentwood, Tenn.) 31-23. Harrison balled out with five receptions for 173 yards and two touchdowns.

In Texas, No. 10 Allen rolled to a 50-6 win over DeSoto. Allen quarterback Ty Snell threw four touchdowns, three of which went to Zach Williams.

No. 2 St. Frances Academy (Baltimore, Md.) topped Vero Beach (Fla.), 38-6. After a lengthy lightning delay, the Panthers put up 31 first half points on their way to the victory.

No. 4 Santa Margarita (Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif.) toppled Highland (Palmdale, Calif.) 55-7. Fletch Palmer tossed two touchdowns, one of which went to freshman Kiyan Callis. The running game also dominated for the Eagles as Adrian Petero and Noah Grande each rushed for two touchdowns.

Pittsburg (Calif.) led 14-0 before No. 9 St. John Bosco (Bellflower, Calif.) scored 26 unanswered points to win 26-14. Maliq Allen scored two rushing touchdowns and Dorian Franklin returned a fumble for a score. 

No. 15 Mater Dei (Santa Ana, Calif.) remained undefeated after defeating Valor Christian (Highlands Ranch, Colo.) 38-22. Wide receiver Gavin Honore hauled in two touchdowns from Mater Dei quarterback Cameron Pooley. Blue-chip quarterback Titus Huard threw two touchdowns for Valor Christian.

No. 3 IMG Academy (Bradenton, Fla.) improved to 3-0 with a 41-0 victory over St. Louis (Honolulu, Hawaii) on Saturday at Saddleback College. Jayden Wade threw for four scores with three of them going to Eric McFarland lll. The Ascenders have outscored their first three opponents, 159-13. 

No. 23 DeMatha (Hyattsville, Md.) overcame a 20-7 fourth quarter deficit to pull off a 21-20 win. The Stags will bring in a 23-game win streak heading into next Friday's matchup against Roman Catholic (Philadelphia, Pa.).
