It’s been a very productive four days for Jordan (Sandy, Utah) quarterback Alex Hart.

Last Friday, he set a Utah state record with eight touchdown passes in a half. On Monday, Hart accepted a scholarship offer from Utah State.
There’s a Hart heritage at Utah State – his brother and grandfather attended the Logan school.
The nation’s leading passer, Hart threw for 404 yards and those eight touchdowns in a 54-6 romp over Taylorsville, upping his season totals to 3,399 yards and 37 touchdowns. He also has more than 400 yards rushing this season.
Hart had 3,181 yards and 26 touchdowns as a junior.
Hart can compete with current freshman Kane Wilson for the right to be Diondre Borel's backup in 2010 if he elects not to serve an LDS Mission. Borel will be a senior next season.
With the college decision out of the way, Hart and the Beetdiggers can focus on a must-win game Friday night at Brighton. If Jordan wins, the teams rematch in a play-in game next Tuesday. Brighton keeps Hart at home for the playoffs with a win.
