Each year since 2006, MaxPreps has recognized outstanding
performers in high school basketball. The tradition continues to close
out the 2025-26 season by naming the top player in each state.
Selections are based on team success and individual excellence in
addition to local and state accolades.
Quentin Coleman of
Principia (St. Louis) is the 2025-26 MaxPreps Missouri High School Basketball Player of the Year. The 6-foot-4 senior guard led the Panthers to a 29-2 record and their second consecutive state championship.
For the season, Coleman averaged 23.1 points, 6.1 rebounds, 3.9 assists and 2.7 steals per game while shooting 64.9 percent from the field, 50.6 percent from 3-point range and 89.7 percent from the free throw line.
