Each year since 2006, MaxPreps has recognized outstanding performers in high school girls basketball. The tradition continues to close out the 2025-26 season by naming the top player in each state. Selections are based on team success and individual excellence in addition to local and state accolades.
Maddyn Greenway of
Providence Academy (Plymouth) is the 2025-26 MaxPreps Minnesota High School Girls Basketball Player of the Year. The 5-foot-8 senior point guard led the Lions to a 29-4 record and fifth straight Class AA state championship.
For the season, Greenway averaged 36.5 points, 9.4 assists, 7.1 rebounds and 6.4 steals per game.
