Jacob Henry is one of the strongest members of the
Lake Travis (Austin, Texas) football team, which doesn't come as a huge surprise considering he's the son of former powerlifter, WWE superstar and current AEW broadcaster Mark Henry, known in and out of the ring as the "World's Strongest Man."
Listed at 6-foot-1 and 270 pounds on the Lake Travis roster, Jacob Henry was credited with 28 tackles, 1.5 sacks, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery during his sophomore season last fall. Always one of the top high school football programs in Texas, the Cavaliers went 12-3 and reached the Class 6A Division I semifinals.

Even bigger things are expected from the Class of 2024 standout during the 2022-23 year, and not just on the gridiron. Competing in the 285-pound weight class, he compiled a 34-8 record on the mat as a sophomore, ending his season with a loss in the fifth-place match at the Class 6A state championships.
Henry also participates in track and field and squatted 560 pounds this spring to break the school record.
Mark Henry is one of the most accomplished powerlifters of all-time, participating in the 1992 and 1996 Olympics. He made the jump to professional wrestling and the WWE in 1996. That led to a 25-year run in the organization and he was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2018 alongside such stars as the Dudley Boyz, Goldberg and Hillbilly Jim. He's now with upstart AEW serving as a broadcaster and backstage personality.
