Video: Top Recruits Who Went OffDJ Uiagalelei, Jayden Daniels, and Sam Huard all put on big-time performances this past week. Every state is in action and high school football is now in full force. And there were some monster performances this past week. It was nearly impossible to limit it to only 10, but these guys all put on a show in their team's win. Quarterbacks stole the show with half the list being gunslingers. There are three running backs, one wide receiver and a defensive back round out the list.
The Lone Star State leads the way with three players selected. California and Louisiana were the only other states with multiple players chosen and one each from Indiana, Mississippi and Washington.

Recruits Who Went OffSam Huard, Kennedy Catholic (Burien, Wash.) — UncommittedNo. 13 overall in Class of 2021 and No. 1 pro-style quarterbackThe top rated pro-style quarterback from the Class of 2021 had nine touchdowns before the first half was even over. He tied a state record with 10 touchdowns and his 552 yards were the fourth most in Washington history. The reigning
MaxPreps Freshman of the Year is the son of former NFL quarterback and Washington star, Damon Huard, and he's already throwing his name in the mix to be the Sophomore of the Year in 2018.
DJ Uiagalelei, St. John Bosco (Bellflower, Calif.) — Uncommitted
No. 5 overall in Class of 2020 and No. 1 pro style quarterbackA lot of scouting experts are labeling St. John Bosco's starting quarterback as the best in the country and it sure looked like it on Friday. The 5-star gunslinger completed 26-of-32 passes for 373 yards and six touchdowns in their 52-14 win over Mililani (Hawaii). He has led the No. 1 team in the country to a 3-0 start in 2018 and the Braves have outscored the opposition 157 to 14.
David Bell, Warren Central (Indianapolis) — UncommittedNo. 118 overall in Class of 2019 and No. 22 wide receiverEvery week you can expect the 4-star wide receiver from Indianapolis to fill out the stat sheet. He led Warren Central to a 58-27 win over North Central (Indianapolis), hauling in 10 receptions for 230 yards and three scores. Two weeks ago, he led the Warriors to a huge comeback win over Kentucky power, Trinity (Louisville), and this week he balled out handing the Panthers their first loss of the season.
Jayden Daniels, Cajon (San Bernardino, Calif.) — UncommittedNo. 100 overall in Class of 2019 and No. 2 dual threat quarterback
It was a statement game for Cajon and Daniels made sure they were going to put on a show. They rolled past Murrieta Valley (Murrieta, Calif.), 58-27. The 4-star quarterback finished the night with 341 yards passing and five touchdowns, adding another 159 yards on the ground with one more score. Cajon has been one of the most explosive teams in California in 2018 and keep an eye on them as they inch closer to the Top 25.
Zachary Evans, North Shore (Houston) — UncommittedNo. 2 overall in Class of 2020 and No. 1 running backNorth Shore had one of the biggest wins of the week taking down Texas power Katy 35-21. Evans showed why he is one of the best running backs in the country regardless of class finishing the night with 16 carries for 150 yards and four touchdowns. The Mustangs went from unranked to No. 21 in this week's
Xcellent 25 rankings presented by the Army National Guard.
Grant Gunnell, St. Pius X (Houston) — Arizona commitNo. 382 overall in Class of 2019 and No. 14 pro style quarterbackThe 2019 Arizona commit is on pace to break the Texas high school record for most career passing yards and touchdowns. His 2018 debut put him ahead of schedule. He completed 33-of-40 passes for 414 yards and five touchdowns and added another two scores on the ground in their 55-21 win over Beaumont United (Beaumont, Texas). Gunnell now needs 2,639 yards and 40 touchdowns to break both state records.
John Emery, Destrehan (La.) — Georgia commitNo. 26 overall in Class of 2019 and No. 2 running backThe 5-star running back and future Georgia Bulldog had 16 carries for 194 yards and three touchdowns in the Wildcats 41-15 win over Slidell (La.). There is a good chance he ends up being the top rated running back from the Class of 2019 when all said and done.
Derek Stingley Jr., Dunham (Baton Rouge, La.) — LSU commit
No. 5 overall in Class of 2019 and No. 1 cornerbackThe 5-star cornerback showed how dynamic he is on both sides of the ball in their 36-34 win over Central (Baton Rouge, La.). The 2019 LSU commit had an electrifying 32-yard touchdown run, a pick-six and the game-clinching interception late in the fourth quarter.
Jerrion Ealy, Jackson Prep (Jackson, Miss.) — Mississippi commitNo. 49 overall in Class of 2019 and No. 3 running backEaly is one of the most special athletes in high school. He's a Top 50 prospect in football and baseball. He's run for at least 125 yards and four scores in all three games so far this year. He put on a show in last week's 45-7 win over Forest (Miss.) while barely playing in the second half. He is one of the most exciting dudes to watch in the country and has led Jackson Prep to 21 straight wins.
Preston Stone, Parish Episcopal (Dallas) — UncommittedNo. 6 overall in Class of 2021 and No. 1 dual threat quarterbackThere's a reason why Stone has already landed 38 Division I offers. He is must-watch television. In their 52-13 season opening win over Trinity Christian (Willow Park, Texas), he threw for 355 yards and five touchdowns. Expect him and Huard to put up numbers all season.
