How does it
work? Nominees are selected from
statistics submitted on MaxPreps. Coaches who do not have current access may
request their free account here.
Weekly finalists are released on MaxPreps every
Tuesday and voting is conducted in a special poll.
Voting ceases at noon on Mondays. The winners are announced the next day
along with the next week's nominees.

* Josh Schnetzer, New Miami (Hamilton)
FootballSenior had a remarkable all-around game in a
40-20 win over Manchester. Intercepted three passes, averaged 34.7
yards on three kickoffs and returned one 82 yards for a TD and caught
four passes for 61 yards and a
TD.
* Alyse Christopher, Mt. Vernon
VolleyballSenior had 48, 42 and 42 assists in a loss
to Johnstown Northridge, a win over Watkins Memorial and a loss to
Newark, respectively. Her 260 assists ranks second in Ohio this
season.
* Nick Sylvia, Wheelersburg Boys
SoccerJunior moved to within two points of 200 for
his career with five goals in a 9-0 win over McDermott Northwest. Also
had four goals and two assists in a 12-0 win over Waverly. His 16 goals
currently ranks fifth nationally and his 35 points is seventh (and
second in the state).
* Vivian Henninger, Fairfield (Leesburg) Girls
SoccerSophomore scored five goals in a 12-0 win over
McDermott Northwest. Earlier this season she had four goals and three
assists in an 11-0 win over Peebles. Her 38 points and 16 goals
currently leads the state.
* Grady Kinsey, Indian Valley (Gnadenhutten)
FootballJunior surpassed 3,000 career rushing yards
with 298 and five TDs in a 62-21 win over Meadowbrook. Ran the ball 14
times for a 21.3-yard per carry average. Went for 217 yards and four TDs
in a 51-8 Week 1 win over Ellet. Carer numbers read 3,141 yards rushing
and 53 total TDs (with 50
rushing).

* Ella Meers, Stow-Munroe Falls VolleyballSenior had 61 assists in a 3-2 win over Mayfield and 44 assists in a 3-2 win over North Royalton. Her 334 assists ranks third in Ohio this season. Has 1,291 career assists.
* Edinso Cifuentes, Bard Early College (Cleveland) Boys SoccerSenior broke the state record for assists in a game with 12 in a 22-5 win over Campus International. His eight goals in the game is tied for ninth in state history. Has 17 goals and 19 assists this season and 51 goals and 55 assists in his career.
* Michael Taylor, Pickerington North FootballSenior and Ohio University recruit set the program’s single-game rushing record with 298 yards and three TDs on 31 carries in a 38-27 win over Pickerington Central. Also caught one pass for an 80-yard TD.
* Maci Brown, Danbury (Lakeside) VolleyballSenior had 42 digs in a 3-2 loss to St. Joseph Central Catholic. Currently leads the state of Ohio with 300 digs this season. Has 1,304 career digs.
* Trey Moore, Wellington FootballJunior had 27 tackles, a sack and fumble recovery in a 21-14 win over Plymouth. Has 58 tackles in three games this season.
* Ja'niaus Avanti K'Mere Hall, Lima Senior FootballSenior completed 38-of-55 passes for 627 yards and seven TDs in a 49-24 win over Marion Harding. His 1,289 passing yards and 1,393 total yards lead Ohio this season. He’s thrown 15 TD passes in three games.
* Haidi Schoenberger, Columbus Academy (Gahanna) Girls SoccerSenior had three straight hat tricks (three goals) in wins over Whitehall-Yearling, Tree of Life and Westland. Has 17 goals, nine assists and 43 points this season.
* Mason Parker, Portsmouth West (West Portsmouth) FootballSenior carried the ball 47 times for 311 yards and four TDs in a 27-21 win over Hillsboro. Also had nine tackles.

55-34 win over Dalton. His TDs came on ruins of three, 70 and 54 yards.
The victory was head coach Tiger LaVerde’s
250th.
