48-game win streak snapped. The Rockets have won four in a row since dropping back-to-back games against No. 5 St. John Bosco (Bellflower, Calif.) and No. 18 Bishop Gorman (Las Vegas) to open the season.
No. 2 IMG Academy (Bradenton, Fla.) returns to action after two weeks off. The Ascenders have outscored their first five opponents 279-31 and host St. Thomas More (Oakdale, Conn.) on Friday.
The biggest game of the week is going down in Indiana as No. 9 Center Grove (Greenwood) faces a huge road test against Cathedral (Indianapolis). The Fighting Irish are on the cusp of joining the MaxPreps Top 25 and a win over the defending 6A state champs would help the cause. The Trojans have won 22 straight games and have outscored their first eight opponents 373-88 this season.
