Video: Daino Deas high school highlightsWatch the standout for national champion Parkview (Ga.) in action.
The 2015 high school baseball season is complete and the Parkview Panthers are the No. 1 team in the nation.
Parkview (Lilburn, Ga.) claimed the top spot in May after losses by Olympia (Orlando, Fla.) and St. Rita (Chicago) allowed the Panthers to rise to the top spot. Coach Chan Brown's squad never relinquished the No. 1 ranking as it swept through the Georgia Class 6A state playoffs without dropping a game (each round of the Georgia state playoffs is a best-of-three series).
With Parkview essentially claiming the final No. 1 ranking about a month ago, the only drama heading into the final rankings was the placement of Jasper (Ind.), which entered the week ranked No. 14 overall. Defending Indiana Class 3A state champion Andrean defeated Jasper, however, dropping it from the rankings. Christian Brothers (St. Louis), the Missouri Division 5 state champion, entered the rankings to replace Jasper at No. 50.
