With the regular season over for Texas football team, some players put up monster stats. Here are the offensive leaders heading into the playoffs.
PASSING YARDSGrant Gunnell, So., St. Pius X (Houston) 4,279 After the fifth week of the season, Gunnell had the fourth-highest passing yards in the state. But in the last five weeks, the sophomore is averaging 453 yards and 5.8 touchdowns per game. He's thrown for seven or more touchdowns in four games and has 58 total passing TDs.
Nick Gerber, Sr., Levelland 4,076Gerber is averaging 407.6 yards per game through the air and 5.9 touchdowns. His 59 scores leads the state, and he has just four interceptions. In 47-14 win over Pampa on Oct. 27, Gerber threw for five touchdowns, including a season-high 97-yard score.
Chase Allison, Sr., Robinson 3,933Allison has compiled back-to-back 400-yard games: 472 and 405 yards. In his team's 10 games this season, he has thrown for 400 or more yards on seven occasions. Allison also has a 51-to-5 touchdown-to-interception ratio.
Court Walker, Sr., Trinity Christian (Addison) 3,638Walker was held to a season-low 135 yards passing on Nov. 4 in a loss, but he is still averaging 409.2 yards per game. His best outing of the year is a 579-yard performance in a win on Oct. 21.
Jake Smith, So., Bishop Gorman (Tyler) 3,564After throwing 10 touchdowns in a Week 2 victory, Smith has cooled off a bit with TD passes. But the sophomore is averaging 445.2 yards per game having played in just eight contests.
RUSHING YARDSDeion Hankins, So., Parkland (El Paso) 2,332Hankins was leading the state in rushing five weeks ago and he's just added to his gaudy numbers since. He is coming off a 29-carry, 264-yard game in a 49-15 win over Riverside on Nov. 4. He's gone over 200 yards in seven of his team's 10 games this season.
Joshua Fields, Sr., Americas (El Paso) 2,282Fields has erupted for over 400 yards rushing in a game twice this season and is averaging 228.2 per game. On Saturday, he rushed 26 times for 282 yards, including a 73-yard touchdown.
Kennedy Brooks, Sr., Mansfield 2,128In just eight games this season, Brooks has been tearing it up. He is averaging a state-leading 266 yards per game and 10.7 yards every time he touches the ball.
Dominic Williams, Sr., Independence (Frisco) 1,922Williams has gone over 200 yards in four games this season and has carried the ball just 184 times to amass 1,922 yards. He has also scored 28 touchdowns.
AJ Reed, Sr., Post 1,916Reed ripped off 332 yards on 20 carries in a 61-33 victory over Farwell on Sept. 30. He ran for over 200 yards in five games this season, but for under 100 on three occasions to skew his average.
RECEIVING YARDS Braxton Ashcraft, Jr., Robinson 1,937Ashcraft has been a beast this season, averaging 21.1 yards per catch and 34 touchdowns. He has six or more catches in every game, two or more scores and at least 100 yards.
Robinson's Brandon Ashcraft led the state in receiving yards and was tied for tops in touchdowns.

Bell is averaging 207 yards per game and has 198 yards or more in three of the last four games. He is coming off a 15-catch, 271-yard performance in a loss.
Waydale Jones, Sr., Jones (Beeville) 1,809Consistency has been the name of Jones' game this season. He is second in the state with 103 catches and has double-digit receptions six times. Jones is also second in Texas with 27 TD catches.
Ceedee Lamb, Sr., Foster (Richmond) 1,445Lamb is averaging 21.3 yards per catch and has a 93-yard TD reception to boot. His biggest game of the year was a victory over Terry on Oct. 14, in which he had 10 catches for 284 yards and five TDs.
Gavin Holmes, Sr., Northwest (Justin) 1,403Holmes has helped his team jump out to a 9-1 record by catching 72 balls and averaging 19.5 yards per reception.
TOTAL TOUCHDOWNS (non-passing scores)Payton McAlister, Sr., Decatur 34McAlister is a jack of all trades. He has scored 22 rushing touchdowns, 11 through the air and one via a punt return. He has five more touchdowns in five games this season.
Braxton Ashcraft, Jr., Robinson 34Ashcraft has all of his scores on catches. The dynamic receiver has 92 catches, so every 2.71 times he makes a reception he finds the end zone.
Trey Sterling, Sr., Sunnyvale 33Sterling is an offensive and defensive star for his team. He has 28 rushing touchdowns, four receiving, one on an interception and one on a fumble return. Sterling has 1,986 yards from scrimmage on the year.
Joshua Fields, Sr., Americas (El Paso) 31One of the leading rushers in the state, Fields has tallied 31 touchdowns: 25 on the ground, five through the air and one on a kickoff return.
Kobe Hailey, Sr., Frost 31The quarterback is a dual threat and has run for 31 scores. He also has 1,888 yards on the ground, which is tops for quarterbacks in the state.
Dominic Williams, Sr., Independence (Frisco) 31Williams has rushed for 28 touchdowns and hauled in three scores through the air to pace the Independence offense.
