The high school football season in New Hampshire came to a close over the weekend with champions crowned in the state's final two classifications after a pair of state champions were determined the week prior. Nashua North was among the winners, beating Goffstown 49-21 to take home the trophy in Division I and finish No. 1 in the final MaxPreps Top 25 state computer rankings.
That victory, coupled with its 7-0 record and tremendous play this season, makes Nashua North the 2020 MaxPreps Champion for the state of New Hampshire.
The Titans previously reached championship games in 2009 and 2010 but finally notched their first state title by handling Goffstown, which also entered the contest unbeaten.
Senior quarterback/defensive back
Curtis Harris-Lopez opened the scoring against Goffstown by returning an interception 47 yards for a touchdown. He finished with 13 carries for 118 yards and three touchdowns.
Nashua North was dominant in all three facets of the game, scoring touchdowns on offense, defense and special teams while never trailing in the 28-point title game triumph.
