According to statistics submitted to MaxPreps, 11 seniors, seven juniors, three sophomores and four freshmen comprise the Top 25 scorers in high school basketball as of Thursday.
Leading the bunch is a
ninth-grader, 6-foot-1, 178-pound guard
Markus Robinson from
Finney (Penfield, N.Y.), who
after 17 games is averaging a staggering 45.8 points per game. He's scored more than 50 points in eight games, including a high of 65.
We repeat, Robinson is just a freshman.
Tommy Murr, a 6-1 senior guard, is the only other player
averaging more than 40 points per game at 44.3. His season came to an end last week but in 34 games this season for
Lindsay Lane Christian Academy (Athens, Ala.), the Lipscomb signee went over 50 five times with a high of 60.
