The Dons opened the season by beating Haverford School, the No. 1 team in the MaxPreps Xcellent 25 National Boys Lacrosse Rankings presented by the Army National Guard. After falling to Malvern Prep, Loyola Blakfield then defeated Landon (Bethesda, Md.), which had taken over the No. 1 ranking from Haverford School.
Landon's loss puts Victor (N.Y.), which opened the season with a win last week, into the No. 1 spot. Victor was undefeated last year in winning a state championship.

The Blue Devils won their season opener last week, defeating Corning 16-6 to run their unbeaten streak to 23 games in a row.
2. (8) Loyola Blakefield (Towson, Md.), 2-1
The Dons knocked off the No. 1 team in the country for the second-straight week, defeating Landon 11-9. Loyola Blakefield had defeated previous No. 1 Haverford School in its season opener.
3. (1) Landon (Bethesda, Md.), 7-1
The Bears lost to Loyola-Blakefield 11-9 last week, but bounced back to beat McCallie (Chattanooga, Tenn.) 15-4 and Coronado (Calif.) 14-3.
4. (2) McDonogh (Owings Mills, Md.), 5-1
The Eagles handed Culver Academy (Ind.) its first loss of the season with a 9-8 overtime score, but lost to Bullis (Potomac, Md.) 8-7.
5. (5) Gonzaga (Washington, D.C.), 6-1
The Purple Eagles downed previously unbeaten Culver Academies (Ind.) 9-6 and topped Bishop Ireton 18-3.
6. (NR) Bullis (Potomac, Md.), 6-2
The Bulldogs have a loss to Gonzaga and Hill Academy (Ontario, Canada), but recently defeated McDonogh 8-7.
7. (3) Culver Academies (Ind.), 5-2
Culver lost twice last week, falling to McDonogh (Owings Mills, Md.) 9-8 in overtime and to Gonzaga (Washington, D.C.) 9-6. Culver also defeated Salesianum (Wilmington, Del.), 16-9.
8. (NR) Calvert Hall (Baltimore), 5-1
The Cardinals have an 11-7 loss to Hill Academy (Ont.), but defeated Malvern Prep 7-6 in overtime.
9. (7) Malvern Prep (Pa.), 3-1
The Friars lost to Calvert Hall 7-6 in overtime in their only game last week.
10. (9) Haverford School (Pa.), 3-2
The Fords bounced back from their first two losses in two years to beat Cathedral Catholic (San Diego) 13-9 and St. Stephen/St. Agnes 9-5.
11. (15) Hun (Princeton, N.J.), 1-0
The Raiders won their season opener with a 14-8 victory over Georgetown Prep 14-8.
12. (6) Georgetown Prep (North Bethesda, Md.), 5-1
The Hoyas lost to Hun School 14-8, but defeated St. Joseph's Prep 8-7.
13. (11) Monte Vista (Danville, Calif.), 8-0
The Mustangs defeated Menlo School 18-4 and Foothill (Pleasanton, Calif.) 18-2.
14. (12) Syosset (N.Y.), 2-0
The Braves opened the season with two straight wins, beating Garden City 6-3 and South Side 10-6.

The Bruins began the season with a 12-4 win over West Linn (Ore.) and 11-5 over Kent Denver (Colo.).

The Flyers began the season with an 11-6 win over West Islip.

The Bulls edged Massapequa 17-16 in their season opener over the weekend.

The Seahawks began the season with three straight wins, beating South Side 10-4, Ridley 14-11 and Downingtown West 16-7.

The Friars defeated Fordham Prep 13-3 in their season opener last week.

The Blue Wave open their season April 2 at Yorktown.
