Wisconsin high school football: Top 10 Week 4 matchups

This week’s slate features several key early-season conference games and Kingston Allen looks to add to his nation-leading rushing total.

Week 4 of the Wisconsin high school football season is here and we are putting the spotlight on the biggest games.

Week 4 games to watch

All listed games are scheduled for Friday at 7 p.m.

Catholic Memorial (2-1) at Muskego (3-0)

Two of the top teams in the Milwaukee area meet in a marquee matchup. Muskego shut out Brookfield Central 53-0 last week as seven players recorded at least one carry. Bryson Hoeffler led the rushing attack with 94 yards and a touchdown on 15 carries. Catholic Memorial opened the season with two wins before losing 34-14 to Arrowhead last week. Running back Devon Williams will look to bounce back after being held in check by the Arrowhead defense.

Brookfield East (2-1) at Arrowhead (3-0)

Arrowhead posted an impressive 34-14 win over Catholic Memorial last week. Running backs Jebari Craig and Devin Nettles combined for 332 rushing yards and all five of the Warhawks' touchdowns. Craig rushed for 188 yards and three touchdowns, while Nettles added 144 yards and two scores. In Brookfield East's 35-14 win over Mukwonago, quarterback Lucas Yttre accounted for four touchdowns. He passed for 196 yards and two touchdowns and rushed for 51 yards and two more scores.

Edgar (2-1) at Mondovi (3-0)

Two of the top teams in Division 6 meet in a non-conference matchup. Mondovi defeated Fall Creek 36-18 last week as quarterback Bode Falkner rushed for 142 yards and two touchdowns and passed for 96 yards and another score. Edgar is coming off a 48-0 win over Pittsville in which eight Wildcats recorded at least one carry. Through three games, Graham Streit (152 yards, three touchdowns) and Landon Lukasko (148 yards, one touchdown) have been Edgar's top running backs.

Marquette University (2-1) at Franklin (1-2)

Marquette cruised to a 69-45 win over Kettle Moraine last week as running back Bear Bonk rushed for 255 yards and three touchdowns on 24 carries. Quarterback Ben Schroeder passed for 236 yards and four touchdowns. The Hilltoppers have won two straight since opening the season with a loss to Arrowhead. Franklin earned its first win last week, routing Germantown 38-3. Quarterback Keegan Best passed for 219 yards and two touchdowns, while wide receiver Connor Henschel caught eight passes for 85 yards and a score.

Chippewa Falls (3-0) at New Richmond (3-0)

The matchup between the Big Rivers Conference squads features two strong rushing attacks. Chippewa Falls is led by Tyler Behnke (330 rushing yards, four touchdowns), Talen Shilts (311 rushing yards, five touchdowns) and Gavin Shilts (271 rushing yards, one touchdown). Austyn Wittek leads New Richmond with 500 rushing yards and eight touchdowns.

Denmark (3-0) at Freedom (3-0)

The North Eastern Conference matchup features two of the top teams in Division 4. Freedom routed New London 63-7 last week as running back Axzil Eggert rushed for 159 yards and four touchdowns on 10 carries. Eggert has 492 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns through three games. In Denmark's 35-6 win over Sheboygan Falls, the Vikings used a committee approach at running back. Noah Thompson led the group with 89 rushing yards and two touchdowns. Zack Freeman leads Denmark with 302 rushing yards this season.

Fox Valley Lutheran (2-1) at Winneconne (3-0)

The Bay Conference matchup features two of the league's three remaining unbeaten teams. Winneconne quarterback Henry Chase has completed 31 of 44 passes for 511 yards and nine touchdowns. Wide receiver Ryan Quigley leads the team with 14 catches for 290 yards and five scores. Fox Valley Lutheran quarterback Braden Heiges has accounted for 10 touchdowns this season, passing for 475 yards and five touchdowns and rushing for 295 yards and five more scores.

Sheboygan South (0-3) at Notre Dame Academy (3-0)

Wisconsin commit Kingston Allen leads the nation with 1,047 rushing yards and ranks third nationally with 15 total touchdowns. Allen saw limited action in Notre Dame's 69-0 win over Manitowoc Lincoln last week, rushing for 136 yards and three touchdowns on six carries.

Burlington (3-0) at Union Grove (3-0)

The Southern Lakes Conference rivals each won their conference opener. Union Grove defeated Elkhorn 24-14, while Burlington topped Wilmot 33-7. Quinn Schultz leads Union Grove's rushing attack with 287 yards and five touchdowns on 35 carries through three games. Burlington's strength is its passing game. Quarterback Wesley Bauman has completed 47 of 64 passes for 722 yards and six touchdowns, while Joshua Tomczyk has caught 15 passes for 389 yards and two scores.

Regis (3-0) at Elk Mound (3-0)

Regis cruised to a 42-0 win over Abbotsford last week as 14 players recorded at least one carry. Noah Laber (207 rushing yards, four touchdowns) and Carter Sisko (159 rushing yards, one touchdown) lead the Ramblers' rushing attack through three games. In Elk Mound's 42-8 win over Neillsville/Granton, running back William Thatcher rushed for 138 yards and two touchdowns on 14 carries.
