The Chick-fil-A Classic, one of the premier events of the holiday season in high school basketball, announced its 2022 field Monday. The 20th annual event will take place Dec. 27-30 at River Bluff High School in Lexington, S.C.
The field is headlined by 12 out-of-state teams with high expectations this season —
Calvary Christian Academy (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.)

Columbus (Miami)
,
Greensboro Day (Greensboro, N.C.)
,
Hillcrest Prep (Phoenix)
,
Huntington Prep (Huntington, W. Va.)
,
IMG Academy (Bradenton, Fla.)
,
John Marshall (Richmond, Va.)
,
Oak Hill Academy (Mouth of Wilson, Va.)
,
Providence Day (Charlotte, N.C.)
,
Southern California Academy (Castaic, Calif.)
,
The Rock (Gainesville, Fla.)
and
Wheeler (Marietta, Ga.)

Joining the out-of-state programs are Palmetto State teams

. The 16-team field will be split up into two eight-team divisions. Teams competing in the Carolina's Challenge Division will be announced on Wednesday.
The field will feature a pair of No. 1 overall prospects in
Isaiah Collier
of Wheeler (Class of 2023) and
Cameron Boozer
of Columbus (2025).
