* Elijah Myers, Firestone (Akron) Boys VolleyballJunior had a career-high 44 kills (and 19 digs) in a 3-2 win over St. Edward to go over 300 for the year. Has 721 career kills and 568 digs.
* Isabella Zahn, Coldwater Girls TrackSenior set the Division III state record in the 400 and a meet record at the pr4estigous Wayne Invitational. Her time of 54.34 broke the old record of 55.23 set by Brook Turner (Gates Mills Hawken) in 2004.
* Marissa Holman, St. Ursula Academy (Toledo) Girls LacrosseSenior had 19 goals and 25 ground balls in wins over Clay, Southview and Cranbrook Kingswood and a loss to Mercy. Currently ranks sixth in Ohio in ground balls (70), ninth in goals (57) and 11th in points (70).
* Jenna Molk, Dover SoftballJunior went 5-for-6 with eight RBI, four home runs and five runs in back-to-back wins over Wooster. Also struck out 10 of the 14 batters she faced in both games, didn’t allow a hit and picked up a win. Is 7-1 this season with a 1.15 ERA and 117 Ks in 55 innings. Batting .564 with 23 runs, 22 RBI and 11 HRs.
* Alex Myer, Northmont (Clayton) Boys LacrosseSophomore had 26 points (20 goals and six assists) in wins over Carroll, Xenia, Edgewood and Miamisburg and a loss to Springboro. Has 39 goals and 10 assists this week.
* Evan Slaven, Western Reserve (Berlin Center) BaseballSenior went 4-for-4 with nine RBI, three runs, two doubles, a triple and a home run in an 18-0 win over Sebring McKinley. Batting .511 this season with 24 hits, 23 RBI, 19 runs and seven doubles. Career .351 hitter with 67 hits, 60 RBI, 59 runs and 18 doubles.
