As a junior at
Chandler (Ariz.), Raiola threw for 2,435 yards and 22 touchdowns against five interceptions. He completed 64 percent of his passes and rushed for two additional scores.
Raiola, who spent his first two years of high school at
Burleson (Texas), is the unanimous No. 1 recruit in the Class of 2024 among all recruiting sites. He had a strong sophomore season throwing for 3,341 yards and 32 touchdowns. He completed 65.1 percent of his passes and rushed for nine scores.

The former Ohio State commit joins a team that went 9-5 last season and finished as the 6A state runner-up. They lost 37-26 to Highland (Gilbert) in the championship game. Raiola will have to sit the first five games because of transfer rules if he does not get a hardship from the Arizona Interscholastic Association.
According to the 247Sports Crystal Ball, the five-star quarterback is trending towards Georgia with Ohio State, Nebraska and USC in the mix. He visited USC last weekend and has 25 FBS offers.
His father, Dominic Raiola, played for Nebraska and was a consensus first team All-American selection during his junior season in 2000. Dominic was a second round selection in the 2001 NFL Draft and spent his entire 14-year career with the Detroit Lions.
