Gehrig Dieter has been named the U.S. Air Force National Player of the Week.
The 6-foot-3, 210-pound receiver from Washington (South Bend, Ind.) amassed a whopping 447 receiving yards, setting a new national record in the team's 63-10 blowout win over Elkhart Central.
Dieter broke the 2008 mark of 421 yards set by J.D. Felice of Rose Bud (Ark.) in a game against England.
In Washington's season opener, Dieter broke the Indiana state record by registering 373 receiving yards, which was good for No. 8 on the national list.
