Norcross (Ga.) captured the Class AAAAAA state title last season thanks in large part to the play of
Lorenzo Carter.

Carter burst onto the scene, recording an astounding 136 tackles and 18 sacks, en route to MaxPreps Junior All-American honors.
The
No. 1-ranked weakside defensive end in the 247Composite, Carter is back at it as a senior.
Thus far he's recorded 64 tackles and three sacks despite opposing defenses routinely running in the opposite direction.
As if Carter's football exploits are not enough, his success on the hardwood just adds to his resume as one of the nation's most successful two-sport athletes.
After he hung up he cleats and shoulder pads, Carter transitioned to the Norcross basketball team, where he once again helped lead the Blue Devils to a state title.
It seems as if football will be his calling once he gets to the next level, however.
The
247 Crystal Ball currently predicts Carter to land at Alabama, with a certainty of 76 percent. Georgia, Florida and Notre Dame are also in the mix.
