The countdown is complete. Archbishop McCarthy (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) begins the season ranked No. 1 in the MaxPreps Xcellent 25 Preseason National Baseball Rankings, and the Mavericks are just one of many Florida teams to crack our preseason Top 100.
A total of 20 Florida teams are in the top 100, edging out California which has 18. Texas is third with nine teams while Georgia is fourth with six.
