From a family of eight basketball players, she is the granddaughter of Naismith Memorial Hall of Fame coach John Kundla.

Katie Heckman of Regis Jesuit (Aurora, Colo.) will miss the rest of her junior year due to knee surgery. She has scholarship offers from many Division I colleges, including Duke, Stanford and Texas.
