When a No. 1 receiver in the NFL faces the Cleveland Browns, fans joke that he we will be locked up by the team's top cornerback, Joe Haden, on "Haden Island."
It might not be long before another Washington, D.C. native is starring in the secondary on Sundays with his own island if
Jalen Tabor has his druthers.

The senior at
Friendship Collegiate Academy (Washington, D.C.) has enjoyed a superb high school career and is a highly-coveted college recruit. He also happens to play alongside Haden's brother Jonathan, a running back for Friendship.
As a junior last fall, the 6-foot-1, 180-pound Tabor did not allow a single completion the entire season.
He also contributes on special teams returning punts for Friendship, but his future is clearly at cornerback.
According to 247Sports, Tabor is the No. 4 recruit nationally at his position. The 247Composite lists Tabor as the No. 24 recruit overall regardless of position.
For Tabor, success at the next level is much bigger than himself. He looks at his opportunity as a chance for the entire city of Washington to shine.
"It means a lot, just keep putting on the for the school, for the city. It means a whole lot just to know I have a whole community behind me," Tabor recently
told the Washington Post. "I got a whole community at my back. If I do good, people start looking at the inner city a little different."
In two weeks, Tabor and Friendship will close out their season by attempting to emerge as the champion of the DCSAA AA playoff bracket.
