Three of the six teams that dropped out of the MaxPreps Top 25 high school baseball rankings were from Florida but the Sunshine State replaced that trio with four newcomers.
Jesuit (Tampa), Stoneman Douglas (Parkland) and Bishop Verot (Fort Myers) all dropped out after suffering losses last week. Moving in are Mater Academy Charter (Hialeah Gardens), Merritt Island, Tampa Catholic (Tampa) and Bishop Moore (Orlando).
Elsewhere, Bishop Gorman (Las Vegas, Nev.) also jumped into the rankings at No. 13 despite a loss to Orange Lutheran (Orange, Calif.). The Gaels defeated Basic (Henderson, Nev.), who knocked off Orange Lutheran in a three-way round-robin.
Basic comes in at No. 11 while Orange Lutheran dropped from No. 2 to No. 12.

No. 1 St. John Bosco (Bellflower, Calif.) 1, Gahr (Cerritos, Calif.), 0: The Braves recorded their second shutout but scored its only run in the bottom of the sixth on a double by Jack Champlin, who also pitched the final two innings to get the win.
Game to Watch
Tony Castro of Bishop Moore went the distance in a 4-0 shutout of Osceola as he gave up two hits, walked none and struck out 14.
Hitter of the WeekBrady Jensen of Merritt Island had a home run and two doubles with five RBI in a 13-0 win over Astronaut. He also had a three-run homer in a 13-0 win over Cocoa Beach earlier in the week.
