McNair has been on a difficult stretch since their win on November 23. They came up short against the Franklin Yellowjackets on Tuesday, falling 5-0. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 666th, while the Yellowjackets are ranked 129th).

McNair's loss dropped their record down to 2-6-1. As for Franklin, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-1-1 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. McNair will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Edison at 7:00 p.m. on January 9, 2025. Franklin will take on Weston Ranch in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Franklin is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.9 goals per game this season.
