On Friday Hancock take on Rothsay at 7:00 PM. If the contest is anything like the 40-52 finish from the last time they met, the scorekeeper will be kept real busy.
Hancock had to kick off their season on the road last Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. They came out on top against Park Christian with a 20-12. Sophomore Preston Rohloff and junior Tyler Timmerman were among the main playmakers for Hancock as the former passed for 218 yards and 2 touchdowns and the latter rushed for 67 yards and 1 touchdown. In fact, with 9 tackles Timmerman was a force on both sides of the ball.
Rothsay had to travel to play their first game of the season, and the final result was worth the trip. They had enough points to win and then some against Hillcrest Lutheran Academy, taking their match 38-22.
Their wins lifted both teams to an identical 1-0. While both teams are coming in off of wins, only one will triumph this week. Who will it be ? Check back in with MaxPreps after the game is over for details.
