The Soquel Knights will take on the Willow Glen Rams at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Soquel is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.
Soquel will bounce into Tuesday's game after beating St. Francis, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. Soquel walked away with a 6-1 win over St. Francis on Friday.
Dylan Hull looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Connor Corlett, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. He also put up a double, which was his first of the season. Hudson Summerrill was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one double and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Willow Glen earned a 9-6 victory over Half Moon Bay on Saturday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Rams.
Tyson Paganini looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the fewest hits he has allowed since back in March of 2024.
At the plate, Austin Korba was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Marco Madsen, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.
Soquel's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-0. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.3 runs over those games. As for Willow Glen, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.
Both Soquel and Willow Glen just can't seem to miss. Soquel has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.2 hits per game. However, it's not like Willow Glen struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 4.8 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
