Even though the Aragon Dons have not done well against the Palo Alto Vikings recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Aragon strolled past Palo Alto with points to spare, taking the game 46-27. Given Aragon's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 517th, while Palo Alto is ranked 1187th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Several Vikings players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Eliana Miao, who scored eight points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Miao has scored all season. Eliana Friedman was another key contributor, scoring seven points.
Aragon is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 5-4 record this season. As for Palo Alto, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-6.
Aragon will be playing at home against South San Francisco at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Palo Alto will take on Harker in a holiday battle at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday at.
