The Bryan County Redskins will head out to take on the Jenkins Warriors at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Bryan County sitting on three straight wins and Jenkins on eight.
Bryan County gave up the first runs on Tuesday, but they didn't let that get them down. They came out on top against McIntosh County Academy by a score of 6-1.
Cooper Ennis made a big impact no matter where he played. He tossed five innings while giving up just one earned run off seven hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with one triple and one run.

Ennis wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Ethan Williams, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. The dominant performance also gave Williams a new career-high in RBI (two).
Meanwhile, Jenkins made easy work of Beach on Tuesday and carried off a 19-3 victory. The Warriors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine contests by ten runs or more this season.
Like Bryan County, Jenkins also got a great game from a two-way player: Cruz Texidor. On the mound, he struck out six batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). Texidor was also solid in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.
In other pitching news, Jacob Pilcher looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-low in walks (one).
Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on DJ Rohan, who scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Jenkins is 9-1 when Rohan posts two or more runs, but 3-4 otherwise. Ronald Dunham was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3.
Jenkins always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .606. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .500 or higher in six consecutive games.
Jenkins pushed their record up to 12-5 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.8 runs over those games. As for Bryan County, their record is now 12-7.
