Enochs is 1-9 against the Jaguars since February of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Enochs Eagles will be playing at home against the Gregori Jaguars at 7:30 p.m. Both teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Enochs and three for the Jaguars.
Enochs struggled with assists last Thursday (the Bulldogs had seven more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Enochs took a hard 49-32 fall against the Bulldogs.
Loss or not, Enochs got some senior leadership from Natalie Quinones and Gurleen Gill. Quinones dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds, while Gill. scored five points along with seven rebounds and three blocks. Quinones is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last five games she's played.
Meanwhile, things could have been worse for Gregori, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 42-26 loss to the Bulldogs on Tuesday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Gregori has scored all season.
Enochs' loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-15. As for Gregori, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-11.
This contest is one where the number of possessions is likely to be a big factor: Enochs have been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 36 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Gregori struggles in that department as they've been averaging 33.2 rebounds per game. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
Enochs came up short against the Jaguars when the teams last played back in January, falling 60-47. Will Enochs have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more basketball content.
