College Park and Granada are an even 3-3 against one another since May of 2018, but likely not for long. The College Park Falcons will be playing at home against the Granada Matadors at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
College Park barely beat San Ramon Valley the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. College Park's pitchers stepped up to hand San Ramon Valley an 8-0 shutout on Tuesday. The Falcons not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since May 2, 2024.

Sebastian Alvarez tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only two hits over five innings pitched. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2024.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Vincent 'Tino' Vasell, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in RBI. Another player making a difference was Samuel Johnston, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.
Meanwhile, Granada made easy work of James Logan on Friday and carried off a 6-0 victory. The Matadors haven't had any issues with the Colts recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.
Logan Robinson looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Furthermore, he didn't allow a single earned run, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in May of 2024.
At the plate, Mikey Boyd was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Tommy Brown, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.
Granada hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as James Logan struck out seven times.
College Park's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Granada, the win got them back to even at 1-1.
