Mascoutah is 2-8 against Triad since September of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Indians will be playing at home against the Knights at 7:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.
On Friday, Mascoutah strolled past Jersey with points to spare, taking the game 35-16.

It was another big night for Sean Murphy, who rushed for 209 yards and three touchdowns. His rushing production has been exceptional for a while as that marked his 11th straight game with at least 112 rushing yards dating back to last season.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Triad). They were the clear victors by a 42-22 margin over Highland on Friday. The Knights pushed the score to 42-14 by the end of the third, a deficit the Bulldogs cut but never quite recovered from.
Mascoutah better keep an eye on John Holloway. He was instrumental in Triad's win, rushing for 189 yards and three scores while picking up 9.0 yards per carry, and also throwing for 154 yards and a pair of TDs. Holloway really tore up the turf during one magnificent 80-yard run.
Triad was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 273 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in September of 2024.
Triad didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Kannon Seipp and Dawson Deatherage.
Mascoutah now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Triad, they now also have a winning record of 3-2.
Friday's game will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Murphy and Jacob Odle. Murphy just won't slow down this season and has run in 9 touchdowns while averaging 178.8 rushing yards per game. Odle has been a dominant force too and has run in 4 touchdowns while averaging 77 rushing yards per game.
Mascoutah lost to Triad at home by a decisive 37-22 margin in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Thankfully for the Indians, Isaac Ackerman (who rushed for 133 yards and a pair of touchdowns while picking up 7.8 yards per carry, and also threw for 139 yards and three TDs) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
