McKinleyville has gone 8-2 against Eureka recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Panthers will venture away from home to face off against the Loggers at 4:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as McKinleyville comes in on ten and Eureka on five.
On Saturday, McKinleyville got the win against Fortuna by a conclusive 21-3. Considering the Panthers have won ten contests by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Bode Reininger made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over four innings pitched. What's more, he posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
In other batting news, McKinleyville got a massive performance out of Joe Tanno, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with five RBI and two runs. Those five RBI gave Tanno a new career-high. Tyson Marshall also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
McKinleyville was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .414. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Fortuna only posted a batting average of .200.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Eureka). They put the hurt on Fortuna with a sharp 20-2 win on Monday. The result was nothing new for the Loggers, who have now won eight games by seven runs or more so far this season.
Sawyer Katri tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over five innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up a single earned run in four consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Bryson Burns was a standout: he got on base in all three of his plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ty Crawford, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run.
McKinleyville's record now sits at 17-1. As for Eureka, their record is now 16-6.
Both the two teams just can't seem to miss. McKinleyville has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.4 hits per game. However, it's not like Eureka struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 4.5 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went McKinleyville's way against Eureka when the teams last played two weeks ago, as McKinleyville made off with an 8-1 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
