Chico's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kayleigh Solano led the charge by dropping a double-double with 23 points and 11 rebounds. Chico was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Inderkum only posted three.
Several Tigers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Tremiyah Lawrence, who shot 50% from the field en route to 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Aniyah Bruhn, who posted nine points along with five rebounds and five steals.
Chico's record now sits at 3-0. As for Inderkum, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.
Looking ahead, Chico won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against South Fork at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Inderkum, they will venture away from home to square off against Davis Sr. at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
